Katachreza Dobropotreblenie (he/she/they) Also known as KDP. He is a young IT worker navigating the current technological boom. Outgoing and smart but impatient and too idealistic for her own good.

Varvara Kinovar (she/her) Also known as Varya. New hire at Innovative Algorithmic Department of Archindata who accidentally became important at work and suffers for it. Reserved and pragmatic yet has a sarcastic side.

Zina Frenzy (she/it) Firewall programmer at Neo Sarajevo’s SICS. Loves attention, the sound of her own voice and making new acquaintances. Excitable, generous, likes to help but can be arrogant and socially awkward.

Xi Xiphoid (xe/xem) Subway train operator. Comes across as snappy and blunt at least with Zina who xe often gets particularly irritated with. Without her in the vicinity gets a little less prickly but not significantly.

Shirin Alkonost (she/he) Emergency phone number operator with a mellifluous voice. Coats her disrespectfulness in a sugary sweet language. Tries to stir the pot while staying out of trouble himself. Likes to leave snarky remarks as much as compliments.

Luis N. Fabula (she/her) Metallurgist. Calm and friendly, huge Medieval history nerd. Shirin’s butch and yes-man which she combines with constant effort to smooth the edges.

Paloma Metalloloma (she/her) Projectionist at a movie theater. Varya’s friend out of the group. Shy and introverted, avoids and dislikes conflict. Very into horror as a genre. Quite knowledgeable about both the local underground horror scene and banned films from beyond the Curtain. Becomes very passionate when she gets the chance to talk about her interest.
