hi, my name is Eter and I'm mainly a character designer, illustrator and cartoonist but I dabble in all kinds of art formats and in general I love figuring out new ways to torture myself creatively. thus, this website exists.
this wesbsite was mainly created for my short-ish comic "Missed Connection" but I also have been thinking about carving out a little space for myself on the web outside social media for quite some time. I am pretty much an amateur and I'm well aware this place needs some improvement. I'll figure it out...eventually.
I mainly make art about my characters that exist in a fictional futuristic city-state Neo Sarajevo (the setting belongs to my friend Luka though). it's a sort of anti-utopian capitalistic surveillance city-state set in a Y2K-inspired alternative future (the year is X999). Since my friend introduced it to me I've slowly taken over writing about its past as a socialist polis with strong censorship and limited access to the outside world (things I write about happen in X970s). It's heavily inspired by (mostly late-ish) USSR politically and by modern Russia and China with its Internet. because of all that I'm very interested in late 20th century history (especially of Eastern Bloc countries), old technology and well...fashion.
